School Tours

Each class goes on a school tour at the end of the school year. Recent trips include Smuggler’s Cove in Rosscarbery, West Cork Secret and Oysterhaven.

Christmas Shows

At Christmas, classes put on shows for parents. Past productions include ‘A Miracle in Town’ (Junior Infants), ‘The Bossy Christmas Fairy’ (Senior Infants and 1st Class) and ‘Bah Humbug’ (2nd and 3rd Class).

World Book Day

On World Book Day, pupils dress up as characters from books. There’s buddy reading, a quiz for 3rd to 6th Class, and a competition for each class, from designing bookmarks to writing comics.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The school takes part in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Clonakilty. Our theme in 2023 was ‘Meitheal’.

Photography Competition

Each class takes photos on its own theme, from ‘Colour’ in Junior Infants to ‘Pride of Place’ in 6th Class. See the 2026 photos.

Junior Entrepreneur Programme

6th Class take part in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme. Over 16 weeks, they set up their own company, then design, make, market and sell a product.
